Peachtree Road Race 10K. Me, Nick and Lyniece July 4th, 2018 First 10K since before the whole cancer thing!
MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY CAME OUT TO SHOW THEIR LOVE AND SUPPORT OF ME AT THE 2017 PAINT GWINNETT PINK 5K
I am a runner-yes, I AM a runner. I have to say that I struggled with writing that sentence. I've been a runner for years and years, but over the past year and a half after my breast cancer diagnosis and ensuing treatments, I have to say that I don't feel much like one anymore. I've done some occasional walk/jogs, but nothing that could be called actual "running" in quite awhile.
That. Is. Going. To. Change.....
As you can see in the photos below, over the years my hair color has changed, my weight has fluctuated a LOT, but one thing that never changed was the fact that I always considered myself a runner! Sometimes when I was struggling with my weight, I didn't like to tell people I was a runner because I could just imagine them thinking, "Yeah-sure lady....ha-ha you're a runner!"
These days, I don't care if I look like a runner, I just want to BE a runner!
